Linda Adele Goodine is the East Carolina University School of Art and Design Carol Grotnes Belk Distinguished Professor. Prior to taking this position, Professor Goodine served as a faculty member in the Herron School of Art and Design in Indianapolis, Indiana, for thirty years and received the title Chancellor's Professor of Art. Professor Goodine has shown her work in over 40 solo exhibitions and has a substantial national and international exhibition presence. She has received 27 grants and fellowships and currently has 59 publications. Professor Goodine earned an MFA from Florida State University where she studied New Genres, Performance Art, Installation and Dance Tableaux Photography, and a Master of Science in Communication Arts from Ithaca College in New York. She also holds a BA from the University of Rochester, New York where she studied Economics, Fine Art, English Literature and Journalism.
