Keil, Erich Design and Production Area Coordinator


Erich serves as the Design and Production Area Coordinator and Lighting and Sound Designer for the ECU/Loessin Playhouse Season and supervises the maintenance and support of all lighting and sound related needs for the School of Theatre and Dance. Prior to becoming a member of the Pirate Nation, Erich was an Assistant Professor in the Department of Theatre Arts at Bradley University where he functioned as one of two principal educators and artists in the areas of Scenic, Lighting, and Sound Design and Technology. Before beginning his life as an educator Erich was a freelance designer and artisan for theatres and studios in Chicago and Los Angeles. He holds an MFA in Scenic and Lighting Design from UCLA and a BA in Theatrical Design and Technical Production from Western Michigan University. He believes strongly in creating positive social change through the arts and education and fostering conscientious development of the minds and skills of our future leaders.
